Our little Mae is quite the cutie and succeeded in gaining 12 ounces in 7 days. Her secret? Constantly feeding. Here is a rare moment when I didn't find her face smooshed against Hallie's breast.
I'm fairly sure that Mae's faith in humanity was briefly rocked as she got one shot after the other during her 4 year doctor visit. Unfortunately between shot three and four, the poor nurse dropped the shot, and so had to leave us for an agonizing 5 minutes before giving the final poke. Tears were shed by mother AND daughter after that one. Luckily, as the picture attests, ice cream erases all such memories. Oh, and Mae weighed in at 33lbs, and measured 3 ft, 2 inches in height.
A few years have passed since the last entry, but we felt it was time to revive the blog, as we are now on an epic adventure in Surabaya, Indonesia. Yes, crazy, I know, but here's some background: Matthew and Julie, friends of our for many years, have been teaching in international schools for over 15 years. Matthew has been an admin for about the last 5 of those and finally landed at a school that he thought would be a good fit for Michael. So in January 2017, we made the big decision and signed a two-year contract. Clearly we were not worried at all........ Taking the plunge and clearly not worried
