Adventures of a Family

After informing Jonah that he would be going to school tomorrow after having two days off for illness, he let us know that he would " put a force choke on the whole school. " Watch out Sabin School! Jedi Jonah is comin'.

I'm fairly sure that Mae's faith in humanity was briefly rocked as she got one shot after the other during her 4 year doctor visit. Unfortunately between shot three and four, the poor nurse dropped the shot, and so had to leave us for an agonizing 5 minutes before giving the final poke. Tears were shed by mother AND daughter after that one. Luckily, as the picture attests, ice cream erases all such memories. Oh, and Mae weighed in at 33lbs, and measured 3 ft, 2 inches in height.

Thank you for sharing your lovely, smart, happy, considerate self with us. We couldn't love you more. Can't wait to watch you grow in spirit and body this next year. We love you so so much.

Our little man is growing up! His first tooth came out two days ago and he was visited by the tooth fairy. He wrote her a nice letter so she would know where his tooth was and where she should leave his gift. His total and complete belief in this magic was wonderful to experience.

Mae and Jonah are both post strep throat and just two hours past being contagious. So as neither of them went to school today, and both are feeling pretty good, we decided to go to the good ol' hydro park. I remember taking them here when they were so little. How things have changed! They both biked here; no stroller, no ergo, no worries about naps or nursing. They seem so big!

On this beautiful first day of Fall, while Jonah and mama went to the alpine slide at Skibowl to celebrate friend Eli's birthday, Mae and Daddy got to spend the day together in Forest Park. How Mae loves her Daddy!

Eli, Max and Kim please come get this kid who's been waiting for 25 minutes with his giant red suitcase containing 4 items. Post script An awesome time was had by all, including the parents who ended up kid free for the night;)
